FAQs

PA70 is the Fast Entry initial menu used for master data infotypes such as 0014 and 0015. PA71 is Fast Entry specifically for time data infotypes, like attendances and absences.

Fast Entry supports a limited set of infotypes, mainly 0014 (Recurring Payments and Deductions) and 0015 (Additional Payments). It is designed for repetitive wage data shared across many employees.

PA30 maintains many infotypes for a single employee, while PA70 maintains one infotype for many employees at once. Fast Entry through PA70 speeds up repetitive mass updates.

Transaction PA42 runs Fast Entry for personnel actions, letting you create and maintain the same action, such as a pay change, for several employees in one step.

AI tools can pre-fill wage types, suggest amounts, and validate entries before saving, reducing manual keying in Fast Entry. SAP still posts the records, while AI lowers repetitive data errors.

Machine learning can flag anomalies, duplicates, and outlier wage amounts during mass infotype updates, helping payroll teams catch mistakes early and keep bulk Fast Entry data accurate and consistent.

A wage type classifies a payment or deduction, such as a bonus or allowance. In Fast Entry you assign a wage type and amount, then apply it to many employees together.

Ad Hoc Query selects the employee personnel numbers that the Fast Entry data applies to, letting you build a target group by criteria instead of typing each number manually.
