SAP Fast Entry Tutorial

Fast Entry allows you to create and maintain the same infotype for multiple employees.

It collects data for all required fields into one table in SAP.

It can only be used for a limited number of infotypes (such as infotype 0014 and 0015).

Transaction: PA70 and PA71

In this tutorial, let us create Fast Entries for IT14.

Steps to Fast Entry in SAP

Step 1) In the SAP command prompt, enter Transaction PA70.

  1. Select the period radio button.
  2. Enter the From and To date of the new records.

Step 3) Under Enter Personnel Numbers, select one of the following:

  1. Enter in Fast Entry Screen: You enter the personnel numbers directly into the fast entry data table.
  2. Manual Preselection: You manually preselect the personnel numbers using the SEARCH function.
  3. Preselect Using Report: You select the personnel numbers using a standard SAP report.
  4. Preselection With Ad Hoc Query: You select the personnel numbers using Ad Hoc Query.

Step 4) In this tutorial, we will enter the personnel number (PERNR) in the Fast Entry Screen.

Step 5) Under Save Option, select the Save records directly radio button.

Step 6) SAP gives you two options to create data:

  1. Create: This is used when you want to enter different wage types with different amounts.
  2. Create with proposal: This is used when you want to enter the same data for all the selected employees.

Step 7) In this tutorial, we will create with proposal.

Step 8) In the next SAP screen:

  1. Enter the Country grouping.
  2. Enter the Wage Type.
  3. Enter the Wage Type Amount.
  4. Click Next Screen.

  1. Enter the personnel numbers of the employees that you want to apply the wage type and amount to.
  2. Click Validate.

Step 9) Click Save to complete the task.

You can use transaction PA42 to create and maintain the same Actions for different employees.
