How to Setup Your GoDaddy on Your Desktop?

The GoDaddy email setup has been designed so that a user of any age and background can easily create their professional email address by following the simple instructions given on the page.

Part 1) Purchase Godaddy Email

Step 1) Go to GoDaddy Website

And select the get started button.

Step 2) Sign Into your Go Daddy Professional Account.

Under Registered Users, select Sign In.

Step 3) Select your professional email plan.

In this, we have selected a 1-month plan.

Step 4) Enter Payment details.

Enter your credit cards details like card number, expiry date, security code, etc.

Step 5) Enter your billing details.

Enter billing details like Country, First Name, Last Name, Phone number, Address, Zipcode, etc.

Step 6) Once the entire payment formality is completed, create an account.

Here, we have selected Continue with Google option.

Step 7) Enter the name of your Email id.

Select the desired name of your email address.

Part 2) Configure the Email

Email configuration is a 6-step process.

Step 1) Select Your Domain

To create a new GoDaddy custom email account.

Step 2) Enter your details.

1. Enter your desired email alias
2. Enter the First and Last Name that will be displayed for the newly created Email
3. Enter a strong password
4. Enter Send account info to Email. This is the email address where email configuration is sent.
5. Click on the Continue button

Step 3) Verify Domain Ownership & Update Mail Server

In the next step, you will be asked to verify whether you own the domain in question. You will then need to set a TXT record in your DNS host.

However, if you have purchased your domain from GoDaddy, this step will be automatically skipped. If not, you can always take the help of GoDaddy Support for this.

Step 4) Configure the MX records.

This step is quite challenging. To complete this step, you can take the help of Godaddy support. You need to configure the following records in your DNS and Click Check My Settings.

Propagation of DNS change can take up to 24 hours to propagate, so you may have to wait.

For reference, this is how the setting looks in our DNS arrangement.

Step 5) Once the propagation process is complete and records are updated, you will see the following message.

Part 3) Compose and send an email using GoDaddy Webmail

Step 1) In GoDaddy Webmail Application

Click the Sign in to email option.

Step 2) Select and set your time zone.

As a first-time user, you will be asked to select your time zone.

Step 3) Compose a professional email.

Click Compose option.

Note: You will see a warning “Your DNS records were recently updated, which can affect the ability to send and receive emails. You need to wait 48 hours for these changes to go into effect.” You may ignore it.

Step 4) Send a test message.

2. Enter Subject
3. Enter Email Body
4. Nett click on the “Send” button to send a mail

Step 5) Open the inbox link.

Open the recipient mailbox, and you will see the message.

How to Set up GoDaddy Email on Mobile

Step 1) Open an Android/iPhone Email Clients of your choice.

We are using Microsoft Outlook.

1. Click Add Account
2. Enter the Continue button

Step 2) Connect to IMAP, POP, or SMTP servers.

Select IMAP in the pop-up option.

Step 3) Enter your mobile outlook password.

On the next screen, enter your password. You are now connected!

How to use GoDaddy Email on Desktop with MS Outlook?

Step 1) Open your favorite Email Client on your Android phone. In this case, we are using Outlook.

Go to Files > Add Account

2. Click Connect

Step 2) Enter your IMAP account password.

1. Enter the password you had created for the email id
2. Click on Connect button

Step 3) Set up Outlook mobile on your phone.

Click Done in the Next Screen

Step 1) First, visit the official homepage of GoDaddy.

Step 2) Then click on the down arrow of Sign in, located at the top right of the GoDaddy homepage.
