There are many discord bots available to choose from Discord bots, but in this guide, we’ll use Fredboat. To add a music bit (using your windows pc) to your server, follow these steps:
Step 1) Search for the Discord app on your computer and open it. You can find the list of servers at the top left of the Discord app’s home page.
Note: If you have an empty list of servers. Therefore, you will need to create a Discord server. It helps you to create a new server. Click on the ‘+’ button on the top left side of the Discord screen.
Step 2) A pop-up window titled Create a Server appears on Create My option.
Step 3) Select the type of server you want to proceed with from the Tell us more about your server pane. We’ll select my friends and me.
Step 4) Afte customize your server by editing your SERVER NAME. In our case, our server is called Seged’s server. Click on the Create tab.
Step 5) The created server will be on the list of servers on the top left side of the Discord screen.
Step 6) Then, visit the official site of the Fredboat.
Step 7) You will see the Invite To Server option. Click on it, and you will need to be redirected to a Discord Login page.
Step 8) Login with your account details.
Step 9) Click on login and verify that I am human.
Step 10) Specify the server on the ADD TO SERVER, in this case, Seged’s server, and click Continue.
Step 11) Give permissions to everything you want the bot to do on your Discord server, and click Authorize.
Step 12) Now switch to the Discord App and Verify that the bot has been added successfully by clicking on the Member List.
- To play music, join a voice channel and type /play <link or query song name> on the voice channel’s message bar. It will give you a list of songs where you can select one by typing /play <number> then pressing Enter or tapping one of the number options.
Method 2: How to Play Music on Discord bot through Spotify
Step 1) Now Open your Discord Application and click on User Settings.
Step 2) Click on Connections and Locate the Spotify Icon on the right hand of the screen.
Step 3) Click on the Spotify icon. Log into your account and tick the AGREE button at the bottom of the page.
Step 4) A notification will appear saying, Connect your Spotify Account to Discord.
Step 5) You can start listening to songs on Spotify through Discord.
How to play music in Discord through a Mic
Here are steps to play music on Discord through a mic:
Step 1) Search for Control Panel on your PC and click on Open.

Step 4) Enable Stereo Mix and set the default device.

Playing music using a music bot is similar in Android and iPhone. The steps are:
Step 1) Open the Discord App.
Step 2) Our server list is empty. To create a server, tap on the ‘+’ symbol on the top left side of the screen.
Step 3) In the Create Your Server pane, tap on Create My Own.
Step 4) The Tell us more about your server pane appears. Tap on for me and my friend’s button.
Step 5) The Create Your Server window appears. Specify your Server Name. In this case, the name will be Seged’s server. You may also add a profile picture. After, tap Create Server.
Step 6) Your created server will be on the top left side of the screen.
Step 7) Now go to your browser and visit the Fredboat Website. Tap on the Invite To Server.
- Log in to your Discord account.
- Select the Server name Seged’s server to get the Fredboat Bot on it and tap Continue.
- Give the required permissions to the site and click the Authorize button.
- After marking the Captcha box for verification, the permissions are granted to use the bot.
- Switch to the Discord App. Check the Member’s List to verify the bot has been added successfully.
- To play music, join a Voice channel and type /play <link or query song name> on the text channel’s message bar. It will give you 5 songs where.
You can choose one by typing /playing <number>, then pressing Enter or tapping one of the number options.
