Use this thread to share your top 3 tips to secure a Job ... preferably with a small reasoning to justify your tip.

Here is our bit of the bargain

1. Communication Skills - Nothing matters more than having impeccable verbal skills. Technical skills do matter but any lacuna in technical abilities can be easily covered by good communication (something I am sure any experienced professional must have observed)

2. Market like Maniac - If you want to improve your odds of securing a job you will need to tap every Job procurement channel possible ( online job portals , placement consultants , linkedin , friends for referrals ). Let the WORLD know you are looking for a job.

3. Bargain Hard - Securing a job is only one part of the bargain. Securing a high paying job is the important second part (in most cases). While negotiating salaries the HR will try to push the salary offer down to the floor. You need to hold on to your asking price with a very strong conviction . This conviction will come if you similar offers in hand while entering into negotiation. Which brings you back to our second tip Market like a Maniac.
